I am at the point in my-getting-ready-for-the-new-year process where I want to click my heels together 3 times and my room is sparkly and new again...put back together and ready for the year. But seeing as how I have no glittery magic shoes, I find myself staring at the walls. So..I have decided that I need to clean out the 6,321 pictures I have saved on my computer. Okay..well...maybe not that many..but close. Way close. So..enjoy...my computer will thank me for finally cleaning things out. Sidenote: why is it that I feel the need to save pictures 8 years after they have been taken...and I'm not talking about meaningful pictures that capture memories here. I'm talking pictures of random center toys...random art projects. Toys that I do not even own anymore, and art projects that I'm sure I have filed away in my filing cabinet.
Okay..I just had to give you an example of my random pictures..this hat is A. broken and B. thrown away. Why do I have this picture?
I put this up last year as an extension to our All About Me theme unit. We learned all about our capital letter and body parts. What better way to show what we learned than with our cute little selves popping from behind our very own capital letter!?
I heart February. I do not heart having to decide whether to make a Valentine's Day bulletin board or a Mardi Gras bulletin board...so...I found a way to make both. Valentine's Day on my board, and Mardi Gras around my door. Genius I tell you...I am a genius.
Projects that are super cute
teach important concepts!? I mean...what more could I ask for!? Not only did we make the most fabulous spring art..but we also learned our phonograms as we placed our "insects" on each letter.
Love...love...loved this project!
Okay...I've done my very best job of procrastinating...to work I must go.
